Walking around without opening his eyes

welllll, i have a new gecko. ive had him for about 3 days. i havent tried to handle him yet but, hes not very active at night and when he is he just walks around with his eyes closed. he seems to only be about 3 weeks old and he's a male. Any ideas if something could be wrong?

Alright mate,

I have had the same problem for about 3 weeks now, i have took him to the vet and they have gave me eye drops but nothing seems to be working

albino? do you have lights above his cage?

He's not albino, and i have one light in his cage that is timed to come on at 9am and go off at 7:30 pm. It does not emit heat

Keep the light off, he doesnt need it. It could be the reason he keeps his eyes close. Even if thats not the reason, it can still stress him.

I'm starting to think he is just lazy and sleepy haha. He came out of one of his hides and i decided im gonna handle him for the first time so i let him crawl onto my fingers and he instantly opened his eyes and crawled around on my hand. so i think he is fine now
