Nile monitors & quail eggs.

I got in 110 quail eggs (jumbo bobwhites), About 10 were slightly broken, the shells were broken but the membranes were intact. I didn't want to chance having these break in the incubator so I decided not to incubate them. I was going to throw them into the compost heap & then remembered that Nile monitors will eat eggs. So I stuck 2 of them in the cage with my nile, I put the other eggs in the fridge. I walked back to see if he found the eggs but he had already eaten them. Took all of about 2 minutes for him to down 2 quail eggs and left no evidence they were ever there! I guess I know what I'll do with all the "bad eggs" I get from now on.:main_thumbsup:

My nile is still a baby. I could get some pics later on today I suppose. Can't wait till he is big enough to wrestle down some big rats!
