I just got a juvenile fat tail and I wanted to make sure I wasn't making any mistakes. I've owned leopard geckos before but this is my first fat tail gecko. So I currently have one hide that is the warm hide and where my gecko has been staying. I have a heating pad but I the thermostat I ordered online won't be here for a few days. Im trying to keep the heating pad around 90 but sometimes it jumps to 100 so I put it on a reptile timer and it just turns on and off so that's working for now while I'm at work. Also I ordered another hide to be the moist hide. I'm planning on putting eco earth inside to keep it moist and cool. I also have a water dish and currently a little rock bridge my gecko can hide under. Also how soon can you tell the gender of a fat tail. Also keeping my fat tail on paper towel until it gets bigger then I'm planning on going bioactive. Also my gecko only like to hide inside this tree and never seems to move even in the middle of the night they just stay in the same place and sometimes turn around. Is this normal, I have crickets jumping around in the tank and I believe my gecko had eaten some but they could just be hiding not sure. Someone help?
