catching roaches!?

So im starting off the colony, and today i went to feed a few to my leos just to see what they would think. How do you grab the little buggers there fast and cling to the egg crate!

You just reach in and grab the wings, or whatever you can! If you are that worried about touching them, tweezers on the wings or legs works too.

I really don't want to touch them either so I use a little plastic tube. I don't know what kind you have, but if you have dubias they can't climb up the plastic. It works pretty well. I also take all the cardboard out. With no where to hide they tend to congregate in the corners of the tub.

I personally shake the crates or whatever you use once the drop i have an index card and a plastic cup ready.. dust.. and feed.. thts my method

You can use your hands/fingers or if you are a little squeamish hemostats work well. I use both. especially hemostats when "hand Feeding" I got tired of those leos with bad aim. either that or they wanted a bigger meal.

I am still working out of my squeamishness but I just grab them by their sides....
