Mealworms - Dead then Alive?

I have my mealworms in a tub with oats on the bottom, the other day
I put some radish in there for food but the tub got all humid and it looked
like they were all dead but a few were still twitching. I left them in there
for abit with the lid of whilst I sorted some stuff out. When I can back all
the humidity and water had gone because obviously the lid was off and all
the mealworms started to move again and come back to life.
Is this normal? Are they still ok to feed to my gecko?

Do you normally feed them radishes? I know radishes are sometimes used in gardens to repel insects because of the gas in them. You may want to try a different water source. It is normal for mealworms to be very still at times, especially when getting ready to mutate, so it may not be that they were getting ready to kick the bucket.

I normally dont feed them at all and they survive fine but this
time I thought I would give them something. Usually when I do
it becomes too moist in there so I don't usually bother. Would
all of them mutate at the same time then? They seem to be
back to normal now.
Can they still be fed to my Gecko?

I recommend giving them carrots as a water source. I have never had a mold problem or anything with carrots tho I have with potato and the like. If radishes gases are harmful that may have been the reason for them becoming lethargic. Becoming more active after getting fresh oxygen you may have saved them just in time. Try carrots for the water source and see if that makes a difference. Good luck :)

Oh ok thanks I didn't know that.
Will remember not to feed them Radish anymore.
Do you think it could have been too humid in there aswell?
