    Bedding!

I have all my leos on tile now...I put nonadhesive shelf paper under the tiles to fill up any gaps and put the tile over. Tiki spends most of her day out in the open sunbathing on her tiles... I have used sand (pet store sold it to us), replaced sand with repticarpet and non adhesive...

    Personality

Jackie recognizes my voice and looks up to find me when I come in to feed him. He will climb up on my arm by himself...so will Tiki. Tiki is my little cage cleaner helper. When I wipe down the tiles she is right in the middle of everything helping! Angel is very shy, but when I was wiping...

    Where's d'em Hoppers

What a healthy looking gecko! So where do you get hoppers instead of crickets? Are you in the USA? Love your tank set-up, but I would be the "worried mom" over the loose substrate and possible impaction. Thanks for sharing the pics...is your leo a patternless or blizzard? I have one that...

    Salmonella

If it were me, I would have your kids wash just like you even if they are not in the tank or touching the reptiles. It's a great habit for them to start learning; plus you never know when there might be contamination on the outside of the tank. I would start teaching them to keep their hands...

    Lots of Spots question

Jackie is over one year old...probably about 14 months old, I am guessing. Guess if I want a dalmation gecko I will have to buy another one! Bummer! <smile> curiousKathy

    Lots of Spots question

Thanks for your feedback....doesn't sound like Jackie will end up with bunches of spots...it will be interesting to see if he fades and loses spots over the years. Thanks! curiousKathy

    Lots of Spots question

I have noticed that some normals that I have seen pics of have TONS of spots. Do high yellows not have as many spots? As they get older, do they get more spots? Or is it just genetics and luck of the draw? I would LOVE for Jackie to get bunches of spots...I think it is REALLY cool...but he...

What could be cuter than a strawberry?

A leo in a strawberry of course! Here's Jackie in his hide that Stephanie picked out for him. It is actually a hamster hide and I didn't think he would fit, but Jackie proved me wrong! This is Jackie's new tank.. The next two pics are my daughter Stephanie holding Jackie...now...

New Leo- 2 weeks no eating. please help

I will second the suggestion to try mealworms and give him another 2 weeks to get settled. With the adult I adopted it took her a month of me not trying to handle her to let her settle. Are you handling him? Maybe you could give him more time without handling to settle in. I just talked to...

    MBD? help

I am curious about your temps...are you using a UTH with a probe and digital thermometer? Are your temps on the warm side 88-92*F? Maybe Yoshi could use some warmer temps to help increase his appetite? Just a thought...hope you are able to help him, curiousKathy

    this makes me sick!

Did you notice that there are at least 2 maybe three more leos in that tank!!!! The brief glimpses of the other leos showed that they were in better shape....wonder if that is why the sickly one lost it's tail...it kills me to see it coming up to the camera looking for food. Too bad people...

VERY cool hatchlings!!!! I love the unusual markings on all three, but the enigma will be really fun to watch grow! curiousKathy

Finally got pics of all my kids!

Are they too fat? Should I get a leo treadmill? <smile> Maybe have them do laps around their enclosures? curiousKathy

Finally got pics of all my kids!

Here are some current pics of my three kids... Angel is my adopted jungle girl...shy but sweet! She spends most of her time in her hides, but comes out occassionally for a climb on mom or a lap around her tank... Tiki is my female patternless I bought from Marcia. I LOVE her! She is my...

    Strange Behavior

If you are talking about nonadhesive shelf liners they are safe as long as they are nonadhesive. I use them in combination with my tiles. They are easier to clean than repticarpet, but the tile is the easiest to wipe clean. My leos like the shelf liner as it has a texture and easy for them to...
