Chicken Powder? *Dusting*?

I heard of a few people who have been using Chicken powder, sort of like the ones that come with Ramen Noodles, to gutload/dust their mealworms. Are there problems with this? Should this even be tested?

I wouldn't. Why try and fix something that isn't broken? Gutload with nutritious foods if you expect your geck-kidz to get good nutrition from the feeders.

I agree I wouldn't. The current dusting regimes are proven and work well. Also, chicken powders are high in sodium content.

I'm confused as to what purpose this would serve? Those packets are pretty much just spices, MSG, and sodium. There isn't anything valuable in it, and could potentially be pretty damaging. What's the logic behind dusting crickets with this?
