Gargoyle Gecko active during day?

We got Richard last fall around on October 10. We don’t know for sure how old he is we’re guessing around 3 going on 4??
Since we got him last year he has been doing the normal thing they do and sleeping during the day. Up and around at dusk to early evening.

Now this morning into the afternoon he’s up and around, acting like he wants out of his enclosure.
He appears to be in fine shape.
Just thinking that this activity is a little abnormal for him.

Just like humans aren't necessarily asleep from sundown to sunrise, sometimes nocturnal geckos are awake during the day. Maybe he's getting used to daylight savings time.
