Wattage question

leopard gecko owner here

I've been using an 80w Arcadia Deep Heat Projector bulb for over a year. I just ordered a replacement and ordered a 50watt by mistake.

Before I send it back will the wattage make a difference? I can't remember why I got the 80w to start with.

I'm also regulating it with a Helix control system.

I'm not an expert but the more higher the wattage the more hotter the lamp. I have a tortoise in the basement and I need a high wattage bulb during the winter because it gets very cold. I never owned any arcadia items btw.

Best bet in my opinion is to ask Arcadia. I don't use enclosure lights for my leopard geckos so I have no real opinion.
